Why choose the Clinica de Fracturas de Medellin for these services?
Because we care for the health of our patients based on scientific initiatives with responsibility, timeliness, technology, security and warmth. We also have an excellent, highly-trained group of specialists and sub-specialists. We deliver our most complete portfolio of services to local and international patients in order to support them during their consultations, procedures and rehab in an integral way.
Shoulder Arthroscopy
With the help of a camera that is inserted into the patient’s shoulder, lesions are located and repaired from inside the patient’s body. This method is useful for correcting rotator cuff injuries, glenoid labrum, shoulder cartilage, long biceps tendon injuries, shoulder dislocations and acromioclavicular joint injuries, among others.
Wrist Arthroscopy
It enables a physician to examine the internal area of the wrist joint, including the ligaments and the surface of the cartilage, which can help the doctor determine if there is an internal problem in the wrist. The procedure can be practiced after an injury, in case of a fall or when the wrist has been twisted.
Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction (ACL)
It is a surgery for reconstruction of the ligament in the center of the knee. The Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) connects the shin bone with the thigh bone (femur). A rupture of this ligament can cause the knee to loosen during physical activity, most often during lateral or cross-pass movements.
Number of Procedures Performed
Our Orthopedic specialists perform about 300 procedures monthly, highly recognized in the subject of arthroscopy.
